Mr. Ajai Kumar S is a development communications professional with 24 years of experience spanning several domains including gender, water and sanitation, public health, crop insurance and rural development, amongst others. Ajai has a rich experience of working with various national and international organizations such as UNDP, UNICEF, Naz Foundation International, National AIDS Control Organization, Kerala Women’s Commission etc, where he was instrumental in developing and implementing effective communication and social mobilization strategies, as well as designing sustainable communications management systems. A post graduate in Communication and Journalism from the University of Kerala, Ajai has trained with reputed institutes such as the Institute of Rural Management Anand (Information and Communication Technology, Digital Divide), Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (HIV Communications Management), UNAIDS and Indian Institute of Mass Communication (HIV Communications), Centre for Science and Environment (development communication and reporting) and TSF SA (Health Systems Strengthening). Ajai has over 20 publications to his credit, and has written and directed several video and radio documentaries. He is the recipient of the Red Ribbon Express Award 2009, constituted by the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and the Information Technology (IT) Award constituted by the Department of IT, Government of Kerala, 2010.
