The Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM) Conference in 2020 was a four-day event on the theme of “Universal Health Coverage – Evidence Driven Solutions.” 

The Immunization Technical Support Unit (ITSU), was strongly represented at the prestigious event. A number of poster presentations and panel discussions were held where ITSU team shared their views and future plans. Experts drew attention to the important aspects related to immunization, and reiterated its criticality as an important pillar of UHC. Presentations were made on "Strengthening Immunization Systems to Reach Every Child";  and on  a "Model oF Community Ownership in Addressing Vaccine Hesitancy: Case Study of Malab Village, Haryana, India."

Posters were presented on "Barriers to Overcome Vaccine Hesitancy in Mewat, Haryana"; and  "Strategies for Strengthening the Immunization System in India." A Panel Discussion was held on the "Role of Medical Colleges in Strengthening Vaccine Safety Surveillance."
