Dr. Kamlesh Kumar, a medical practitioner with the Armed forces, entered public health domain in 2010, starting a new innings in National Polio Surveillance Project (NPSP-WHO) as Surveillance Medical Officer in the high priority state of Uttar Pradesh for six years. He gained extensive field experience in one of India’s highest-priority regions.  

He joined ITSU-MoHFW in 2016, now leading the Coverage & Equity vertical. In his capacity as the Lead, Dr. Kamlesh Kumar is supporting the Immunization Division, MoHFW at the national level in planning, implementing, and monitoring the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) for the last one decade.
