Australian researchers are confident a new and more effective tuberculosis vaccine could be developed in the next five years.  Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by an infection of mycobacterium tuberculosis and is a leading cause of death worldwide, killing 1.5 million people in 2020 according to the World Health Organization.
