The U.S. has now been put on a list of 30 countries where either imported wild/vaccine-derived poliovirus or circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus has been identified. The story so far: Earlier in September, New York declared a State disaster emergency after poliovirus was discovered in wastewater samples from three counties.
